After inspecting the immaculately manicured wicket, Kilve opted to bat, opening up with father and son combination Martin and Sam James.
Father failed to bother the scorers and son took the score on to 8 before being bowled. Munro and Rock then added 99 runs before Rock retired on 52 and Munro falling just 3 runs short of his maiden 50.
Blazey (24) and Warre (20no) kept the momentum going with the Kilve innings ending up at 169 for 8 off 30 overs.
Against the opening bowling combination of Dyer and M. James, Stowey got off to something of a flyer, scoring 38 off the first 5 overs before the under 13’s combination of S. James, Mackay and Taylor pegged Stowey back with unerring line and length.
Pressure paid off and wickets fell regularly with over stowey finishing 30 runs short of the target off the 30 overs. Wickets were shared between S. James (1), P. Mackay (1) D. Marchant (1) A. Rock (2) and C. Blazey (2).
